Extended Job Title Asst/Assoc/Professor - Family Medicine - Amarillo Position Description The Department of Family Medicine provides high quality health care and educational experiences. Requisition ID 42898BR Travel Required None Pay Grade Maximum Salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills Major/Essential Functions Assesses patients by obtaining and reviewing health histories, assessing presenting illness and performing an appropriate physical examination; Orders laboratory, diagnostic and screening tests; Develops and implements treatment plans including medications; Educates patients on wellness, illness prevention and disease management; Instructs patients and families regarding medications and treatments; Coordinates care with subspecialists; Prepares and completes timely and accurate documentation for medical records; Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members; Participates in quality improvement, continuing education and patient care programs established by the department, clinic and/or hospital; and Participates in the training and education of residents and medical students. Required Qualifications MD, DO or MBBS; Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME Family Medicine Residency; Board certified, board eligible, or in the process of completing training to become board eligible in Family Medicine; and Ability to obtain a TX Medical License.
