Job Description

Corporate Counsel - Derry, NH Attorney Lawyer Insurance Company Litigation Policy Development Transaction _. Collaborate with legal staff to accomplish legal initiatives in a cost efficient manner that aggressively pushes business objectives forward while protecting against risks. Shall: *** Work with outside counsel and legal department staff on corporate litigations and arbitrations within legal department budget. *** Oversee contract negotiation, execution, and management process, including: structuring and managing strategic partnerships; negotiating and drafting partner and standard-form contracts; reviewing and revising contracts within requisite time periods; creating, implementing, training on, and auditing compliance with contract-related company policies; advising internal business clients on contract law; reporting to senior management on contract-related metrics; and managing the contract management system. *** Research and analyze laws affecting company, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and e-discovery laws; counsel on business implications; and assist in developing policies, procedures and risk mitigation strategies. *** Provide counsel regarding implementation of corporate compliance-related initiatives, including: conducting legal research and drafting memorandums on compliance and regulatory issues; advising senior management on laws and regulations; and managing implementation by business units of required compliance initiatives. *** Assist legal staff with managing company Information Security Policy, Document Retention Policy, and Privacy Policy including: structuring policies; developing and implementing company training programs; auditing company compliance; and reporting policy-related metrics to senior management. *** Direct intellectual property initiatives such as intellectual property registrations, infringement monitoring, infringement prosecutions, and drafting intellectual property-related company policies.
