Attorney – Employment Litigation Defense
Location:
- Santa Ana, CA
A leading full-service law firm inSanta Ana is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Employment Litigation Defense practice. This role offers the opportunity to advocate on behalf of employers in a diverse range of workplace disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, and retaliation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent business clients in employment-related litigation, arbitration, and administrative hearings
- Manage all phases of civil litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Advise employers on compliance with state and federal labor laws, regulations, and workplace policies
- Prepare legal documents, draft pleadings, respond to regulatory complaints, and negotiate settlements
- Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives, delivering strategic risk assessments and practical solutions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in employment litigation defense, preferably representing business clients
- Proven record in handling depositions, mediations, and court appearances
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
