Attorney at Lakewood Board of Education

The Lakewood School District is seeking a highly qualified In-House Attorney to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to play a critical role in supporting the District’s mission and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications & Experience Required: • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Education Law. • Extensive experience handling complex litigation matters before all courts. • Strong background in analyzing and interpreting statutes and regulations. • Proven expertise in procurement law and complex contractual matters. • Experience in staff contract negotiations with unions and associations. • Skilled in reviewing and drafting legal contracts. • Ability to advise the Superintendent, Board of Education, and District Administrators on legal issues affecting the District. • Demonstrated ability to prepare and render legal advice and written opinions upon request.
