Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience; Base Range $85,000–$115,000; Total Compensation $115,000–$150,000

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience in oil and gas title examination. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting title opinions and related instruments, with opportunities to expand into renewable energy and landowner representation.
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of experience in oil and gas title examination. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting title opinions and related instruments, with opportunities to expand into renewable energy and landowner representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oil and gas title examinations, including:
- Original Drilling Title Opinions
- Division Order Title Opinions
- Supplemental Title Opinions
- Letter Opinions
- Draft curative instruments, conveyancing instruments, and joint operating agreements.
- (Preferred) Review and analyze client files to support ongoing matters (applicable for candidates with 2–3 years of experience).
- Provide legal support on matters involving land and mineral rights.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of projects.
Preferred/Additional Experience:
- Renewable energy projects and/or landowner representation.
- Reviewing complex files and identifying title issues (for experienced candidates).
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas (or ability to become licensed promptly).
- 1–3 years of relevant legal experience in oil and gas title examination.
- Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
