Job Description
Audit Senior

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior to join a collaborative team within a national CPA firm that operates with the close-knit culture of a smaller office. This hybrid/on-site role offers the best of both worlds-access to large firm resources and a supportive, team-driven environment. The position focuses primarily on private company audits in the construction industry, and while prior construction experience is not required, a willingness to learn is essential.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals coming exclusively from public accounting who are looking to grow their careers in a dynamic and client-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements from planning through completion for privately held companies.
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff throughout engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business and providing tailored audit solutions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 3-5 years of audit experience in public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of auditing standards and procedures.
  • Experience with private companies; exposure to construction, manufacturing, or real estate is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the construction audit space.
