Job Summary:

Equality Automotive is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle reliability. This role requires strong technical knowledge, a good work ethic, and a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, steering, suspension, air conditioning, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electronic issues accurately.
• Communicate repair needs and recommendations clearly to service advisors or customers.
• Maintain complete records of services performed and parts used.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at Equality Automotive.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology and repair methods through ongoing training.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a technical school program preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• ASE certifications (preferred or required depending on the role).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy parts and work in shop conditions.

• Exposure to tools, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Safety equipment and proper lifting techniques are required at all times.
