Sunset Foods Long Grove Bakery Manager / Pastry Chef requirements include: Excellent supervisory, communication and customer service skills; Ability to oversee operations and staffing for the bakery department within a grocery store; Cake Decorating skills and a minimum 2 years of Bakery experience required. Manage pastry making/baking, inventory and purchasing for the department; Monitor quality of goods and service within the bakery department; Responsible for the department staff training, assignments, and scheduling; Accountable for monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets; Must maintain proper product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control; High school diploma or its equivalent; Must be able to lift 50 pounds; Must be able to be exposed to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing),32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators),>90 degrees Fahrenheit.
