Barista at The Columns Hotel

The iconic Columns hotel, located uptown on St. Charles Avenue, is seeking experienced and passionate baristas to join our team. We are growing our coffee program for both our hotel guests and local visitors (open to the public starting at 7am) and are looking for hospitality minded & creative individuals to join in our development. We are proud to partner with Cherry espresso for our beans, and always looking for new ways to support local producers and our community. Hourly rate of $14, plus direct tips and tip out from the F&B team during service. AM & PM shifts as well as full & part time hours available.

About the Job:

As a barista, your main responsibilities will include setting up/breaking down the espresso station, stocking and maintaining par levels of milk, sugars, etc, determining daily specs for espresso, and preparing each beverage to recipe/spec and guest request. During restaurant service, you will also be responsible for preparing beverages for restaurant guests which will print at the station. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a similar position, but we are open to training the right candidate. Above all, we are looking for someone with a passion for coffee and hospitality.
