Job Description
Chulita Venice and West Adams is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced lead bartender for its program. There are two positions available. We are looking for an experienced bartender with knowledge in tequila and mezcales. You have experience creating cocktails and have an interest in recipe creation.
The positions are full time with a mix of day and evening positions. MUST be available Friday to Sunday. Candidates without full weekend availability will not be considered at this time. You must have 2+ years of consistent bartending experience in a full service restaurant. Resumes with catering experience or recent graduates will not be considered.
Must have experience with Toast POS.

Core duties and responsibilities
- Beverage preparation: Prepare and serve a wide variety of drinks, from classic cocktails to non-alcoholic options, following established recipes.
- Customer service: Greet customers, take orders, provide recommendations, and maintain a friendly and engaging demeanor to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Inventory management: Monitor and manage bar supplies, restock inventory, prepare garnishes, and submit orders as needed.
- Bar maintenance: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and sanitary. This includes washing glassware and tools and following all health and safety regulations.
- Cash and payment handling: Process payments accurately using a point-of-sale system, manage customer tabs, and handle cash transactions.
- Legal compliance: Check customer identification to verify they are of legal drinking age and monitor alcohol consumption to serve responsibly.

- Mixology knowledge: Proficient in mixing techniques and knowledge of drink recipes.
- Customer service: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Multitasking: Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail: Careful attention to detail in drink preparation and presentation.
- Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items like cases of liquor or ice buckets.
Must have experience with Toast POS.
