Position Overview

We are seeking a personable, creative, and highly skilled Beverage Director to oversee all beverage operations at Toshokan. This senior-level role will drive innovation, ensure seamless guest interactions, and complement our omakase offerings with a world-class cocktail and beverage program.

Responsibilities

• Curate and oversee an innovative beverage program, including cocktails, mocktails, and thoughtfully paired drink options to complement the omakase experience.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure harmony between food and beverage offerings.
• Engage warmly and personably with guests, creating memorable on-the-spot experiences that enrich the dining atmosphere.
• Source and manage inventory for high-quality spirits, sake, and other bar essentials while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Stay updated on hospitality and mixology trends, bringing fresh ideas and techniques to Toshokans bar program.
• Maintain a pristine bar area that reflects the nature of Toshokan.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven expertise in high-end mixology bars, fine dining establishments, or closely related environments, with a strong emphasis on omakase or cocktail pairings.
• Skills: Exceptional cocktail craftsmanship, extensive knowledge of spirits, sake, and wine, and the ability to design beverages that impress experienced clientele.
• Personality: Outgoing, personable, and skilled at building genuine connections with guests in a boutique setting.
• Capabilities: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics, ensuring an impeccable bar experience that matches Toshokans level of taste.
• Creativity: Mastery of classical cocktail preparation paired with a flair for innovative drink creations.
