Bilingual Surgical Scheduler
JOB SUMMARY
The Surgery Scheduler works with department surgeons and their staff to coordinate surgery scheduling. This individual provides information about cases for clinical staff so they can be properly prepared prior to surgery. The Surgery Scheduler utilizes skills to ensure clinical inpatient; outpatient surgeries are scheduled and coordinated accordingly.
Pay - $ 18.00 - $ 21.00 an hour
Hours Monday through Friday 8:30 am 4:00 pm - Full time
Location Fullerton/Kimball Medical Surgical Center in the city of Chicago
Responsibilities
Qualification
Education
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Any form of Surgical Scheduler Certificates is preferred but not required.
Experience
o 6 months to 1 year of excellent Customer Service Skills.
o 6 months to 1 year of Healthcare Administrative Role or Surgical Scheduler is highly desirable.
o 6 months to 1 year of Scheduling Surgeries in a clinic setting or an OR setting.
o 6 months to 1 year using various electronic medical records (EMR) systems and scheduling software.
o 6 months to 1 year of excellent written and verbal communications in English.
o 6 months to 1 year of excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish is preferred but not required.
o 6 months to 1 year of surgical procedures process.
o 6 months to 1 year of insurance and billing process.
Skills
o 6 months to 1 year of attention to detail skills in a hospital setting.
o 6 months to 1 year of excellent communication skills.
o Must be bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
o 6 months to 1 year of using office equipment.
o 6 months to 1 year of using Microsoft applications.
