The individual will assist faculty and teaching staff in the preparation and delivery of course materials, support classroom and laboratory activities, and contribute to the effective assessment of student learning. - Assist a biology professor or graduate teaching assistant with all aspects of course delivery. Responsibilities include preparing laboratory materials, supporting classroom presentations, proctoring exams, and grading lab reports and quizzes. Under the supervision of the lab director, may also independently teach small laboratory sections for non-major students.
- Declared major in Biology, a related science field, or Education, as indicated in the application materials.Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a degree program at the University of Kansas (KU).
- At least junior standing (or higher) at the time of employment.Earned a grade of "A" in the biology course(s) relevant to the lab(s) being taught.Maintains an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher.Preference given to students eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.
