    Salary Range: 88k to 90k (Salary determination is based on experience).

    Position Information: The BSW Field Education Director works with multiple clinical and community sites to coordinate fieldwork placements and clinical experiences. The position is full-time with core faculty responsibilities and administrative duties. The BSW Field Education Director must be a graduate from a CSWE-master’s level program (MSW) with strong communication, marketing, recruitment, and administrative skills.

    Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

    • MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program, with considerable years post-MSW experience (generally five (5) + years), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Extensive experience in knowledge of field education in academic settings.
    • Ability to engage and work with diverse stakeholders in the department, college, university, and larger community.
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a diverse student population.
    • A professional social work identity with accompanying values and ethics.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards.
    • Demonstrated advanced administrative, leadership, management, and supervisory knowledge and skills.
    • Organizational, time management, and detail-oriented abilities.
    • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Documented expertise in area of social work clinical practice.
    • Possess academic and experiential qualifications to meet the needs of the BSW Program.
    • Demonstrate current knowledge of social work best practice in clinical, community, and emerging practice areas.
    • Show documented expertise in one’s area of teaching responsibility.
    • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
    • Commitment to the Trinity mission of equity and social justice.
    • All other academic and experiential qualifications and background that meet the mission of the program.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach in the Social Work Program.
    • Release time to meet the needs of the BSW field education program.
    • Plans, develops, delivers, and assesses fieldwork experiences for students in the BSW Program.
    • Provide leadership and direction regarding CSWE field education standards.
    • Advise students.
    • Establishes and maintains communication and relationships with on-site field educators.
    • Initiates and maintains currency of field education contracts with hospitals, clinics, schools, and emerging practice sites.
    • Documents student learning outcome assessment data related to field education experiences.
    • Conducts field education site visits.
    • Collaborates with field educators and faculty to establish field education parameters.
    • Communicates field education objectives to students and field educators.
    • Complete scholarly activities to support the programs’ scholarship agenda.
    • Complete annual professional development plan in accordance with the requirements of Trinity and CSWE.
    • Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
    • Interprofessional and intraprofessional collaboration to support student learning.
    • Other duties of similar nature and character to those mentioned above.
