Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's operational reporting, processes, and contractual obligations. Additionally, this role will support strategic planning processes by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating business trends, and preparing reports to aid in decision-making. This role involves collaborating with various departments to align business objectives, standardize reporting, improve efficiency, and optimize performance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for gathering and organizing data from various sources, including both internal and external databases.
- Able to extract valuable insights and create informative dashboards, reports, and presentations tailored for different levels of management by utilizing advanced data analysis tools and visualization software such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other essential business metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Conducts thorough analyses of the company's current performance, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
- Provide valuable inputs for strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Offer insightful recommendations for potential business opportunities and cost-saving measures, ensuring that the organization remains competitive and efficient.
- Works closely with various functional groups, including finance, business management, and account management teams, to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Facilitate seamless coordination and alignment among different departments by fostering strong relationships and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Identifying areas where business operations can be improved by leveraging their expertise in data analytics and process optimization.
- Propose innovative solutions and implement appropriate tools and systems to enhance productivity and streamline reporting procedures.
- Establish and maintain communication services across business units or from the project team to the organization.
- Maintain the storage and retrieval of all project communications data and business metrics.
- Review contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements.
- Establish and document business processes.
- Set up project and work breakdown structures.
- Track project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for dashboard development (such as Power BI, SQL, Tableau, and Excel) is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities, are crucial for success in this position. Attention to detail and high organizational skills are equally important.
- Analytical thinking, strategic planning, collaboration and teamwork, results-oriented mindset, and adaptability to change.
- Familiarity with statistical testing, modeling, forecasting, and project management principles is beneficial. Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, is advantageous.
