Business Integration Specialist (Hybrid) - NC Health Data Focus - 12+ Month Contract Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid Role) Client: State of North Carolina - NCDHHS Job ID: 775750 Pay Rate Range: $45 - 55/Hour (DOE) The Opportunity: Bridge Strategy and Data in NC Healthcare Are you a highly analytical professional who can translate complex healthcare data into strategic action? Join the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) on a mission-critical project focused on leveraging the NC HealthConnex platform for quality improvement and population health initiatives. This is a high-impact hybrid role where your expertise will be split between advanced data analysis (SQL/SAS) and strategic business coordination with key internal and external stakeholders across the state. This contract offers a 12+ month engagement with a chance to make a real difference in public health. Primary Responsibilities You will serve as a critical link, driving the execution and analysis phases of the project: Strategic Project Implementation: Assist with the implementation of quality and population health projects specifically designed to leverage NC HealthConnex data. Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize your strong SQL and/or SAS technical skills to query, profile, and analyze large, complicated data sets, ensuring data quality and usability. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and ensure smooth project execution across internal NCDHHS teams (Clinical Services, Business Information) and external partners (Prepaid Health Plans, Providers). Feedback Synthesis: Collect, synthesize, and present information and feedback from stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making and project enhancements. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills) To be considered for this vital role, you must meet the following criteria: Technical Data Mastery: Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL and/or SAS with prior experience analyzing large, complicated data sets is non-negotiable. Healthcare Data Acumen: A solid understanding of the healthcare data ecosystem, data policy, health information technology (HIT), and program monitoring concepts. Critical Thinking & Communication: Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills. Must have a demonstrated ability to communicate complex material clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Collaboration: Proven skill in creating and maintaining collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and the needs of multiple stakeholders in a high-priority government environment. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills) Candidates with the following experience will be highly competitive: Familiarity with Medicaid and associated healthcare rules, regulations, and standards. Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the analysis of population health delivery models, care management models, or clinical program innovations. Understanding of clinical workflows, medical coding, and Electronic Health Records (EHR). Experience with digital quality measurement frameworks.
