Our client, a respected and growing law firm, is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Plano, TX. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled litigator with a proven background in business and commercial disputes, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and related litigation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex cases, advising clients, shaping litigation strategy, and mentoring colleagues, while contributing to the firms continued growth and reputation for excellence.

Location: Plano, TX | Hybrid (3 days in office)

Responsibilities:

Litigation & Strategy

  • Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
  • Develop case strategies, oversee motion practice, conduct legal research, and prepare trial materials.
  • Lead and support business litigation matters, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and other commercial claims.

Client Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in complex or high stakes matters.
  • Communicate case updates, risks, and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Mentor associates and contribute to firm-wide best practices.
  • Partner with colleagues and trial teams to deliver exceptional client service.

Risk & Compliance

  • Proactively identify and advise on legal risks in ongoing and potential matters.
  • Ensure all litigation activities align with ethical standards, client obligations, and procedural requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Bar License required.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Labor & Employment law experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven success handling declaratory actions and complex civil litigation.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaborative.
  • 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on business/commercial matters.
