Our client, a respected and growing law firm, is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Plano, TX. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled litigator with a proven background in business and commercial disputes, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and related litigation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex cases, advising clients, shaping litigation strategy, and mentoring colleagues, while contributing to the firms continued growth and reputation for excellence.
Location: Plano, TX | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Responsibilities:
Litigation & Strategy
- Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
- Develop case strategies, oversee motion practice, conduct legal research, and prepare trial materials.
- Lead and support business litigation matters, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and other commercial claims.
Client Advisory
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in complex or high stakes matters.
- Communicate case updates, risks, and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively.
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Mentor associates and contribute to firm-wide best practices.
- Partner with colleagues and trial teams to deliver exceptional client service.
Risk & Compliance
- Proactively identify and advise on legal risks in ongoing and potential matters.
- Ensure all litigation activities align with ethical standards, client obligations, and procedural requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Bar License required.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Labor & Employment law experience is a plus.
- Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Proven success handling declaratory actions and complex civil litigation.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaborative.
- 7+ years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on business/commercial matters.
