C-Store Cashier Variable Shifts at Carson Plains Casino, Dayton, NV

Carson Plains Market in Dayton is looking for a Convenience Store Cashier!

Cashiers are responsible for cash handling in the C-Store and must be able to adhere to and follow in-house policies and procedures.

Qualifications/ Essential Job Functions:

Previous cash handling experience strongly preferred. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

• Must have the ability to accurately calculate money.
• Able to Count in and balance cash drawer.
• Complete sales transactions for all items in the convenience store, including alcohol and tobacco products.
• Able to operate Point of Sale registers, scanners, scales, and credit/debit card terminals.
• Ability to memorize product locations and accurately direct customers.
• Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner.
• Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
• Able to tally funds in the register when required during a shift and produce transaction reports.
• Keep the checkout area clean, orderly, and well stocked.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask.

Work Environment and ADA Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for entire shift.
• Must be able to work in an environment with loud background noise and smoky conditions.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist, crouch, squat, lift.
• Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
