Job Description: Work with the cafeteria team in daily preparation, packaging and serving of planned menu items for distribution during approved times. 

Shift: Thursday to Sunday - 7:00am to 5:30pm

Essential Functions:  

• Create and plan a monthly menu of meals to be prepared and served in a cold prep kitchen. Create and fulfill inventory and supply orders to ensure menu plans are efficiently carried out.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times. Ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are ready for use.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping produce, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
• Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling and hygiene codes.
• Assists with unloading, inspection and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
• Assist with maintenance, cleanliness and stocking of employee breakroom, clean and stocked with necessary meal service utensils, and daily consumables such as coffee, tea, fruit, and condiments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. 
• One to two years in a leadership role working in food preparation or serving environment.
• Basic understanding of food handling and cooking procedures as well as basic sanitation and workplace safety.
• Able to utilize commercial kitchen equipment, understand and read temperatures
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Able to work as part of a team and individually

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
