Nick The Greek in Petaluma, CA is looking for one cashier to join our 22 person strong team. We are located on 441 N Mc Dowell Blvd 441 N Mcdowell Blvd. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities

• Receive payment by credit cards and cash
• Issue refunds, credits, receipts, or change due to customers
• Greet customers entering NTG restaurant
• Maintain orderly and clean checkout areas
• Redeem coupons
• Resolve customer complaints, escalate to manager as necessary
• Answer customers’ questions
• Provide information and clarification on menu items and suggestions
• Calculate payments received during sales and reconcile this with total sales
• Compute totals of transactions
• Box, wrap or bag food to go items
• Stock shelves in front and Expo area
• Compile non-monetary records and reports
• Clear tables and Engage with customers in dining area

Qualifications

• Must be able to offer friendly customer service
• Must have In-depth knowledge of maintaining cash drawer and operating cash register
• Must be well versed in handling monetary transactions
• Must be able to maintain a neat, clean, as well as safe and secured work area
• Must be knowledgeable about gift cards, cash; and be able to process coupon and refunds
• Must be able to balance transactions through assigned registers, including receipts, registers, currency and credit cards
• Must have a proven record of effectively processing of sales and return transactions
• Must be dedicated and meticulous
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to perform light housekeeping tasks and answer telephone
