Catering and Special Events Team Member at Six Flags Over Texas

Job Duties:

• Positively interact with all guests and provide exceptional guest service
• Prepare large quantities of food for multiple picnics at a time
• Use of individual size smoker, ovens, stoves, walk-in freezer/refrigerator, fryers and grills to prepare food
• Set up for events by preparing the buffet line, drink stations, dessert stations and may be needed to set up table cloths and/or grove decorations for events
• Ensure the buffet line is stocked during events including back-up stock for ease of transfer
• Ensure guests are being provided with food and beverage items of the highest quality
• Follow proper food preparation and handling procedures in compliance with all Health Department and Food Service Department policies regarding sanitation per department training
• Continually monitor the cleanliness within the assigned area/unit
• Must follow Six Flags policies and procedures at all times
• Other duties as assigned by Unit or Fulltime Management

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be willing to work weekends, Holidays, days/evenings and weekdays when needed for operation
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs without assistance and 50lbs with assistance
• Must be willing and able to clean using chemicals after training and with proper personal protective equipment
• Must be able to stand, kneel and squat for extended periods up to 8 hours
• Must successfully obtain a state required Food Handler's card
• Must be able and willing to meet all Six Flags Entertainment Grooming Standards daily

Working Conditions:

• Indoors in artificial lighting, including but not limited to near cook tops and fryers, grills, smokers, industrial size sinks and in walk in refrigerators/freezers
• Outdoors in all weather conditions including but not limited to direct sunlight, hot/cold weather, rain, fog and both during the day and night
• Picnic groves are outdoor venues with minimal overhead cover
