Check-In Associate in Surgery Office at CMU Health

What You’ll Do

• Greet and direct patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner

• Register patients and verify insurance and demographic information in Epic

• Schedule appointments according to departmental protocols

• Collect co-pays and prior balances, ensuring accurate posting

• Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately

• Prepare charts and assist with patient flow to ensure a seamless check-in experience

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Customer service experience in a fast-paced setting

• Proficient with computers; experience with Epic or similar systems preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a respectful and inclusive approach

• Prior medical office or healthcare experience a plus
