Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Berrien Springs (Full-Time)
This is a Hybrid Work Eligible position. You will be required to come into the Operations Center in Berrien Springs, MI as needed to ensure business needs are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for Honor's technology, security, and data strategy by overseeing IT operations, infrastructure, data governance, information systems, including online banking, mobile banking, and other member-facing digital platforms.
  • Develops and implements the technical roadmap that aligns with Honor's One Page Strategy that will enable scalable growth and operational excellence.
  • Drives IT governance, operational efficiency, and policy advancement through strategic infrastructure improvements, automation, AI implementation, and system integrations that support scalable organizational growth.
  • Monitors emerging technologies, industry trends, and peer credit union best practices to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with Fintech providers, technology leading credit unions, and technology vendors to evaluate and implement transformative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, member experience, and organizational capabilities.
  • Drives a culture of technological innovation and continuous improvement that prioritizes security, effective resource scaling, process optimization, and governance to achieve top-tier technology outcomes.
  • Ensures teams maintain focus creating exceptional member-owner experiences while upholding strict regulatory compliance and information security standards.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • College degree in Information Technology or a related field required; or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 15 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • 10 years leading Information Technology Teams with proven experience implementing and optimizing systems with a security first mindset.
  • Financial Institution experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with KeyStone Corelation Core platform and Alkami Digital platform preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Information Infrastructure and Systems practices and policies.
  • Must have a transformative/innovative mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple core areas in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Follows the core values of the credit union - honesty, truth, respect, and integrity.
  • Handle issues with tact, diplomacy, and an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Understands and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
