The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in the following practice areas:* *Insurance Law:* Handling coverage opinions, insurance bad faith claims, and general insurance litigation.* *Complex Tort Litigation:* Defending cases involving catastrophic auto accidents, personal injury, and wrongful death.* *Oil and Gas Litigation:* Representing clients involved in exploration, drilling, and production of natural resources in New Mexico's Permian Basin.* *Medical Negligence Defense:* Defending physicians, healthcare providers, clinics, and hospitals against allegations of medical negligence.* *Assisted Living/Long Term Care:* Representing long-term care facilities and professionals in cases alleging personal injury, abuse/neglect, and wrongful death.*Key Responsibilities:** Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.* Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues.* Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.* Collaborate with partners and other attorneys to develop case strategies.* Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely updates on case progress.*Qualifications:** Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.* Active membership in good standing with the New Mexico State Bar.* Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on the practice areas mentioned above.* Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation and client service.*Application Process:*Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume, cover letter, and a list of professional references to *[email protected]*.
