The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking a professional, dedicated candidate for a part-time Civilian Background Investigator position to work 29 hours per week.

Major job duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct background investigations for sworn and civilian positions
• Prepare correspondence and investigative reports
• Verify references and past employment.
• Coordinates testing for background investigations.
• Maintains applicant files.
  
  Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
  The position requires a flexible work schedule to include working evenings and weekends.

Bachelor's degree in related field; one (1) year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County employment application, in-person interview(s), and an intensive background investigation to include fingerprinting, credit check, driving record, and polygraph examination.
