Job Location: Raleigh, NC Department : CVM Teaching Hospital About the Department: The NC State Veterinary Health Complex (VHC), established in 1983, is one of the highest rated regional academic medical centers in the country, serving communities throughout North Carolina as well as many other states. The mission of the Veterinary Health Complex is three-fold: Compassionate, state of the art specialty health care. Expert clinical instruction for 4th year veterinary students from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Ongoing investigation of innovative techniques and procedures to further advance the field of veterinary medicine. With over seventeen clinical services staffed by board-certified specialists, many of whom are not only nationally but also internationally renowned, the VHC is on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine. Patients benefit from the combined expertise of multiple specialists utilizing a team approach to patient health care. Each year, nearly 22,000 patients are treated in the VHC. The Neurology Service within the VHC is a busy state-of-the-art referral practice that provides medical and surgical specialty care to dogs and cats with neurological disease. The service consists of ACVIM board-certified faculty members, neurology residents, and clinical technicians.
