Wage Range - $32 to $42 depending upon experience
Position Summary
The CMM Programmer is responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) utilizing PC-DMIS CMM software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) & CNC machines for on-machine probing. Candidates will analyze models, and drawings of parts.
- Create standard work instructions and generate inspection setup sheets to guide the operational steps of the CMM.
- Follow Quality Procedures for In-Process and Final Parts Inspection Process to ensure verification of specifications and dimensions of all parts prior to shipment (internal or external).
- Utilize the CMM to qualify the CMM/CNC programs and that parts inspected are dimensionally conforming. May also use surface plate, comparator or other dimensional metrology equipment.
- Selects measurement protocol and techniques to maximize repeatability and reproducibility of dimensional parameters and measurement error.
- Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and reports them via a non-conforming material report (NCMR).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
A related machine trades certificate/diploma and five years relevant experience, or, ten years relevant experience.
- Must have advanced CMM programming experience with LK & Zeiss CMM's with CAMIO & Calypso software.
- Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industries is required.
- Experience working in a Machine/job shop environment.
- GD&T certification or experience is required.
- Proficiency with blueprint reading.
- Advanced use of math applicable to machining is preferred.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 35 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
Travel by air or car occasionally
Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
