CNC Machinist at Ohio Magnetics

Position Summary

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible to operate CNC mills and lathes in order to cut and process production parts. Machine Operators are responsible to load the machines, operate equipment and run parts at or below the production standard.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate all CNC machines (mills and lathes)
• Check dimensions to ensure quality of parts
• Read and understand simple blueprints
• Strive to make standard part routing time

Experience and Education

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of operation of CNC machines
• Basic tool selection and replacement
• General knowledge of standard measuring instruments
• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints
• Ability to work to close tolerances and check part dimensions
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects up to 25 lbs. continuously and 50 lbs. occasionally
• Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours
