Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated CNC Mill/Lathe Machinists to join a growing precision manufacturing team. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced CNC equipment and produce high-quality components for the aerospace and defense industries. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to machining. Youll be responsible for setups, programming adjustments, and quality inspections not just machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform complete and partial setups, including tooling, fixturing, and program offsets or adjustments.
• Adjust tool offsets, feeds, speeds, and work coordinates to achieve optimal part quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain production flow.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Maintain accurate documentation for setups, inspections, and production activities.
• Monitor tooling conditions and replace or adjust as needed to reduce downtime and ensure consistency.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with machine repairs when required.
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, resolve challenges, and promote a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required (per Department of Defense regulations).
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Proven experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Programming knowledge (G-code) is a plus.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation.
• Skilled in the use of precision inspection and metrology tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator and team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently.
