Commercial apprentice at Carlton Electric, Inc

As a Commercial Apprentice, you will shadow a Journeyman or licensed professional for a duration of two years before becoming a successful electrician in the commercial sector. In this role, the Apprentice will assist the Journeyman with the installation and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and/or Utilities in Residential or Commercial settings. Apprentices are also strongly encouraged to enroll in the Apprenticeship Program at Skilled Trades.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings

- Learn and follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues

- Learn to use a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in electrical work is preferred but not required

- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and terminology

- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from experienced electricians

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials

- Must have reliable transportation to job sites

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Successful completion of required criminal record and motor vehicle record background checks
