Position: Commercial Electrician
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay Rate: $32–$36 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40–50 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Bend, cut, thread, and install EMT conduit (½" to 1") using hand and mechanical benders.
- Pull wire and cable through conduit and electrical raceways.
- Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting systems.
- Test electrical systems using multimeters and circuit testers to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere to local and national electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, other electricians, and tradespeople to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state-issued journeyman or master electrician license (if required by location).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial electrician.
- Skilled in bending and installing EMT conduit (½" to 1") with precision.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from ladders or lifts.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
