We are looking for an individual with Collections, Repossession, and Remarketing experience, preferably in the equipment finance or auto industries. The Collections & Remarketing Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, assigning, and following through on the recovery and remarketing of defaulted customer equipment.
This person must work well as part of a team and act as an ambassador for our client. We’re looking for someone passionate about minimizing losses to the company in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
• Monitor and effectively communicate over multiple communication channels with required internal and external parties and vendors.
• Multitask with inbound and outbound calls.
• Assign and place holds on equipment repossession.
• Assist in recovery, and coordinate transportation for remarketing.
• Make recommendations to management to minimize losses on accounts, including potential legal actions.
• Work with management to establish collateral value and floor pricing.
• Follow-up with vendors on outstanding requests, as needed.
• Build rapport with slow paying customers.
• Negotiate pricing of contractor services, impound release, and asset sales as required.
• Request titles and distribute with applicable documentation to auctions and individual buyers.
• Communicate and collect deficiency balances to customers as required after remarketing.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Previous collections, repossession, and remarketing experience required, preferably in equipment finance or auto, commercial trucks, trailers, construction, agriculture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures, safety, state and federal laws, regulations, and standards.
• 2+ years of college education preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to learn our CRM systems including Salesforce, Odessa, and others.
• Demonstrate personal excellence including punctuality, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to thrive in a 100% in-office role.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
