The ideal candidate for the Commercial Lending Services Underwriting Team Lead position will have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the following responsibilities and qualifications:
* Manage and service a portfolio of loan relationships.
* Spread and analyze financial statements, address industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, and monitor credit performance.
* Be responsible for relationship portfolio management, conduct relationship reviews, and recommend products and services that meet financial needs.
* Manage team members.
* Review loan presentations including new commitments, modifications, and renewals submitted for decision.
* Utilize credit approval authority within defined parameters.
* Participate in ongoing credit and underwriting training for the team.
* Collaborate with assigned commercial banking teams.
* Expand, build, and maintain internal relationships with lending teams, providing the highest level of service.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
* Requires a bachelor's degree in banking, finance or a related field and 8+ years business banking lending, credit analysis or other directly related experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
* Expert knowledge of business and commercial banking, credit analysis, lending, and loan processing.
* Experience in applicant interviewing and perceptive character judgment skills.
* Ability to structure loans and monitor credit performance.
* Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to train, lead and mentor a team of relationship managers.
* Working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.
* Excellent supervisory or leadership skills are required.
