COMMERCIAL TITLE OFFICER (JUNIOR UNDERWRITER)

NATIONAL COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TITLE SERVICES

Location: Orlando or Tampa, FL

HYBRID (IN-OFFICE 3-4 DAYS/WEEK)

Our client, a leading national title insurance and financial services company specializing in complex commercial real estate transactions, is seeking a Commercial Title Officer (Junior Underwriter) to support high-liability commercial transactions across multiple markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented commercial title professional to grow into an underwriting capacity while serving as the primary point of contact on active closings. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage a high email volume, and coordinate multiple parties to ensure timely and accurate closings.


Candidate Profile

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record OR completion of a paralegal certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; concentration in business, real estate, finance, or related field preferred
  • Active Bar Admission in any US jurisdiction (for attorney candidates)
    • FL bar admission is preferred, but not required
  • 3+ years of substantive experience in commercial title, escrow/settlement, or commercial real estate transactions
  • Ability to independently manage title clearance and satisfy Schedule B-I requirements
  • Experience coordinating complex commercial transactions and serving as a primary deal contact
  • Strong understanding of title insurance practices, escrow/settlement procedures, and real estate principles
  • Familiarity with commercial survey review, objection letter response, and document collection
  • Proven ability to manage high email and task volume with strong prioritization skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to produce error-free work under deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional communication with attorneys, lenders, and commercial clients
  • Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn new technology platforms
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment
  • Must be able to work in the office 3–4 days per week in Orlando or Tampa, FL


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as primary point of contact for commercial title transactions
  • Coordinate with escrow, underwriters, counsel, lenders, and customers to satisfy closing requirements
  • Clear title and fulfill Schedule B-I commitment requirements
  • Review surveys, title comments, objection letters, and underwriting requests
  • Prepare pro forma title policies, endorsements, affidavits, escrow agreements, and closing documents
  • Prepare quotes for title premiums and endorsements
  • Assist with closing coordination, document review, and delivery of closing instructions
  • Monitor, respond to, and organize high-volume communication throughout the transaction lifecycle
  • Maintain transaction accuracy and ensure all requirements are satisfied prior to closing

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $75,000 – $125,000, as determined by experience and qualifications
