Compliance & Process Technician
Entegris is currently seeking a Compliance & Process Technician to join our Microcontamination Division in San Luis Obispo, CA.
This role is crucial in ensuring that production processes and pressure vessel assemblies meet regulatory and customer requirements. This position focuses on in-process controls to enhance on-time shipment and reduce rework on submittals to the quality department.
What You'll Do:
- Perform in-process evaluations on purifying systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes and customer specifications.
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce non-conformities and enhance on-time-shipment (OTS).
- Work closely with engineering, planning, and manufacturing to resolve issues and prevent defects at the source.
- Maintain status boards for each purifier and escalate issues, shortages, and line stops.
- Mentor technicians on best practices in documentation, assembly inspection, and compliance awareness.
- Attend daily meetings as needed to address Engineering Change Requests.
- Monitor trends in inspection findings to drive targeted corrective actions and training initiatives.
- Ensure vessels and media fill is correct prior to field weld.
- Act as gatekeeper for weld examinations to be performed and recorded properly.
- Ensure traceability of critical material for code jobs.
- Review material compliance and supporting documents for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Pressure Equipment Directive.
- Point of contact to schedule on-site inspections with the Authorized Inspector.
- Assist with internal audits and customer visits, providing detailed technical knowledge and proactive issue resolution.
- Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work and contribute independently in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Skilled at a variety of measurement equipment including calipers, pin gage set, height gage, test indicator, micrometer, dial indicator, surface plate, optical comparator, smart scope, and coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
- Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Demonstrated capability to train others to perform the same responsibilities.
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Compensation: $26-28 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
