JOB TITLE: CONFIGURATION MANAGER LOCATION: LARGO, FL RATE RANGE: 58.00-60.00 JOB#: 14940385 REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant professional experience; or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience. • 2+ years of experience in Configuration and/or Data Management (preferred). • Familiarity with engineering drawings, document redlines, and revision control. • Experience with databases such as SAP, ERP, PDM, CABS, PRISM, FileMaker, or related systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database, Visio). • Experience with Canvas GFX for engineering drawing updates. • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Description/Comment: The Configuration Manager will be responsible for coordinating and administering configuration management activities across assigned programs, ensuring compliance with customer, contractual, and internal requirements. This role combines standard CM responsibilities with hands-on engineering drawing support, including redlines and updates, as well as serving as the lead action item and meeting minutes coordinator for recurring program reviews. The Configuration Manager will also act as a liaison to the customer's Configuration Management function, ensuring alignment and clear communication. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities, including identification, control, verification, and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. • Establish and maintain procedures for the introduction of changes to engineering documents; represent the CM function in the implementation of common processes. • Review and analyze released engineering change data; coordinate changes with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and support teams. • Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with CM policies, standards, and customer requirements. • Establish, document, and control configuration identification processes and program baselines. • Support engineering teams with redline updates and revisions to drawings, and ensure proper incorporation into configuration-controlled documentation. • Use Canvas GFX and Visio software to support engineering drawing updates and workflow documentation. • Maintain configuration data in enterprise systems and databases (e.g., SAP, ERP, PDM, CABS, PRISM, FileMaker, or related tools). • Serve as lead coordinator for program meetings by capturing action items, publishing meeting minutes, and ensuring timely closure and tracking of deliverables. • Maintain media control and inventory to ensure compliance with CM policies and contractual requirements. • Act as liaison to customer Configuration Manager, supporting alignment of processes, baselines, and deliverables. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and program management teams to ensure data integrity, traceability, and compliance. • Ensure implementation of customer and internal configuration management requirements. Qualifications We Prefer • Knowledge of configuration management principles, policies, procedures, and tools. • Experience reviewing engineering data and processing documentation/records. • Solid competency in project planning, action item tracking, and organizational follow-through. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering and program disciplines. • Ability to identify complex problems related to engineering data and configuration issues, and recommend corrective actions.
