Compensation: $215,000 – $400,000 (based on experience)
Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm in the search for a 3rd to 8th Year Associate to join its Construction Law Practice in San Francisco. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex construction law matters for clients across a variety of industries in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:Handle construction law matters, including transactional and litigation work.
Draft, review, and negotiate work letters, AIA and other contract forms, and project documentation.
Manage disputes related to construction and design defects, delay and acceleration claims, extra work claims, and mechanics liens.
Collaborate with clients and colleagues on EPC projects and other complex construction matters (EPC experience is a plus).
Provide strategic guidance and manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines.
3+ years of construction law experience in transactional and/or litigation matters.
Strong academic background and admitted to the California Bar.
Excellent interpersonal, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to take ownership of work and career development.
Experience with EPC projects is a plus but not required.
Competitive compensation package within $215,000 – $400,000 range.
