Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager - K-12, Commercial is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects within the K-12 education sector. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant building codes and regulations, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation, and risk management plans.
- Oversee procurement processes and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
- Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of work and materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on K-12 education projects and commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with contract management and procurement processes.
