Construction Project Manager - Direct Hire

Location: West Monroe, LA

Pay: $45,000 - $75,000 (DOE)

Staffmark is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team in West Monroe, LA. This direct-hire role is responsible for leading construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and problem-solver who can coordinate teams, manage resources, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Track project timelines and ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor project budgets, approve invoices, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Perform regular site visits to verify compliance with design specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Identify risks, resolve issues, and implement solutions to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, including progress updates and financial summaries.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal building codes, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead project meetings (pre-construction, progress, closeout) and maintain strong stakeholder communication.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships to support repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management or a related role.
  • Demonstrated success managing commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with construction and project management software (MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Preferred Skills

  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Experience with budgeting, estimating, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of sustainability or green building practices.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising construction staff and subcontractors.
