The Opportunity

This person will be the sole owner of all financial operations. This is a critical, high-visibility role where your expertise will directly contribute to business decisions and investor confidence. The employer is looking for a proactive professional to establish and manage its entire financial infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present quarterly financial reports for investors, providing clear, accurate, and insightful analysis of company performance.

• Tax Compliance: Manage all aspects of tax-related matters, ensuring strict compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Bookkeeping & General Ledger: Oversee all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and P&L reports.

• System Setup: Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial accounting systems tailored to a high-growth technology company.

• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.

• Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare all necessary documentation for potential audits.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency in all core accounting functions, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

• Proven experience preparing comprehensive reports for external stakeholders (investors, board members).

• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• The initiative and autonomy to lead an accounting function independently in a startup environment.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data clearly to non-financial team members and investors.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certification is a plus).
