Description: Controller (Hybrid) – Architectural / Engineering / Construction Location: New York City, NY Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Our client, a highly regarded architectural and engineering firm, is seeking a Controller to oversee the accounting function and serve as a key financial partner within the organization. About the Role: We’re seeking a hands-on accounting professional who values collaboration, transparency, and an open-door leadership culture. The Controller will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, produce accurate financial statements, and partner closely with the firm’s external CPA. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable and receivable Prepare and send invoices; follow up on outstanding balances Handle payroll processing, including 1099 preparation Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries Prepare flash reports, profit & loss statements, and monthly financial statements in QuickBooks Partner with leadership and external CPA on financial strategy and reporting Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel proficiency required Industry experience within architecture, engineering, or construction highly preferred Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills Why Join: Excellent benefits and hybrid flexibility Stable, reputable firm with a collaborative environment Emphasis on work-life balance and long-term professional growth We are an equal opportunity employer and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
