Controller/CFO
Position Overview
The Controller/CFO will oversee all financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations while providing strategic guidance for financial growth and sustainability. This role is integral to the financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting processes, while also leading the finance team to enhance the overall financial performance of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and optimize treasury management.
- Coordinate audits and ensure timely completion of financial audits.
- Lead the finance team in financial analysis, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Implement and manage ERP systems, including NetSuite, to enhance financial operations.
- Oversee taxation matters, ensuring compliance and efficiency in tax planning.
- Monitor and manage inventory accounting and pricing strategies in the food industry.
- Prepare the company for potential IPO processes and associated financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a similar-level leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and accounting principles (GAAP, SOX).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite, is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead ERP implementation highly desired.
- Strong understanding of taxation and risk management principles.
- Background in the food/agriculture industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and manage financial operations.
