Job Description
US Trades is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support preventative and corrective maintenance activities at a high-volume warehouse/distribution center. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing conveyor and automated material-handling systems during peak holiday operations. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently on night shift, and experience working in a fast-paced automated environment
Start Date: 11/16/2025 good for 6 weeks from 6pm-3am.
Key Responisblities:
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, rollers, sensors, and automation components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to quickly restore equipment functionality.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns during shift and perform safe, efficient repairs.
• Inspect conveyor lines, identify wear and tear, and replace defective components as needed.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with system startups, shutdowns, and operational checks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate findings to site leadership.
• Work safely around energized equipment and follow all facility safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues or needed upgrades.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Conveyor Technician, or similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience with: o Conveyor systems (live roller, belt, MDR, sortation, etc.) o Motors, drives, sensors, and photo-eyes o Basic robotics or automated equipment
• Ability to work night shift, six nights per week during the holiday surge period.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and stand/walk for long periods.
Perferred Skills:
Experience in large distribution centers (Amazon, FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.)
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems (basic troubleshooting).
• Lockout/Tagout training and strong adherence to safety procedures.
