We are seeking an experienced, creative, and operationally minded Executive Corporate Chef to lead the culinary vision and kitchen systems across all units.
About the RoleThe Executive Corporate Chef will oversee culinary standards, menu development, costing, food quality, and training programs for a diverse set of concepts—from upscale Southern dining to hotel restaurant operations to high-volume gastropubs. This is a corporate leadership role with direct influence over multiple kitchens and the opportunity to build scalable systems, elevate consistency, and drive brand-defining food experiences.
This role partners closely with each unit’s General Manager and reports directly to the Director of Operations and the Owner. While supporting all kitchen teams, the Executive Corporate Chef does not directly hire or fire staff except in exceptional situations, focusing instead on systems, training, development, and culinary leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead menu development and standardization across multiple concepts
Oversee costing, pricing strategies, and food margin performance
Source vendors, negotiate purchasing, and maintain product quality
Build training systems, recipe decks, and kitchen onboarding materials
Ensure consistent execution across all units through routine visits and chef mentorship
Partner with General Managers on kitchen operations, workflow, and quality control
Collaborate with Director of Operations on initiatives, forecasting, and brand growth
Support new restaurant openings and concept development, including the Gunpowder Hotel
Uphold brand standards, culinary identity, and food safety practices
5–10+ years’ experience as an Executive Chef, Corporate Chef, or Culinary Director
Background in multi-unit operations, boutique hotel kitchens, or high-volume independent restaurants
Strong understanding of Southern, Delta, and modern American cuisine
Skilled in costing, systems-building, vendor sourcing, and staff development
Exceptional leadership presence, communication skills, and collaborative mindset
