Job Description
Job Title: Customer Service Representative – (Mostly Remote)
Contract Duration: W2 Contract December 8, 2025 – End of March 2026
Training Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST
- Onsite attendance required for the first and last week of training
Post training schedule: 40 hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST (No weekends)
Hourly Rate: $17/hour
Location Requirement: Must reside within 50 miles of one of the following locations:
- Mason, OH
- Norfolk, VA
- St. Louis, MO
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused representative to join our Prior Authorization team. In this role, you will handle inbound calls related to prior authorization inquiries, ensuring a high-quality member experience while meeting performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete required training and demonstrate proficiency in core job functions
- Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and written communication regarding insurance benefits, eligibility, claims, and provider contracts
- Accurately document all interactions and outcomes in internal systems
- Navigate multiple systems to research and resolve customer issues
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of routine inquiries
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of customer needs
- Meet performance standards including call volume, quality assurance (95%+), and attendance
- Support outbound communications in the ZipDrug business area as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a call center
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
