CYTOTECHNOLOGIST NEEDED IN NEW YORK! We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our team. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for examining cell samples under a microscope to detect abnormalities and assist in the diagnosis of diseases such as cancer. Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Prepare and analyze cell samples using various laboratory techniques. 2. Identify and classify abnormal cells within samples. 3. Document findings accurately and timely. 4. Assist pathologists in making accurate diagnoses. 5. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control standards are met. 6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. 7. Stay current on new developments and advancements in the field of cytotechnology. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field. 2. Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the ASCP or other accrediting agency. 3. Hands-on experience working in a cytology laboratory. 4. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. 5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other laboratory software programs.
