Job Description

Data Scientist (Cordial Experience, LLC, San Diego, CA): Selecting the main features of Cordial's machine learning algorithms depending on the desired insights to be gathered; Building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques that enhance the overall understanding of data patterns; Executing data mining techniques using state-of-the-art methods to isolate and extract information associated with consumer identity and effective communication points for engagement and marketing campaigns; Extending the data pool by incorporating third-party data sources of information as needed, connecting with users by gaining clearer insights into consumer preferences and identifying new consumer groups for future outreach; Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems, aiding in the improvement of operational efficiency, customer outreach, and risk mitigation; Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Correcting errors and systematically evaluating the quality, accuracy, consistency, and completeness of such data; and Conducting ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner, in addition to creating automated anomaly detection systems with performance tracking options. The following skills and experience are required in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms, including k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, and Decision Forests; Experience with data science toolkits, including R, Weka, NumPy, and MatLab; Experience with data visualization tools, including D3.js and GGplot; Experience using query languages, including SQL, Hive, and Pig; Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Cassandra, and HBase; Experience with applied statistics skills, including distributions, statistical testing, and regression; Experience with Dagster or Airflow for ML pipeline management; Experience with Python; and Experience with cloud environments, including AWS. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems Engineering, Data Science or a related field, and at least five years of experience as a Data Scientist, Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
