The University of Central Florida (UCF) invites nominations and expressions of interest for the University’s next Dean of Sciences.

The Dean of the College of Sciences is a pivotal university leader charged with advancing strategic initiatives at the College and university level. UCF seeks a dynamic and visionary Dean with the ability to advance key aspects of the University’s mission. Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the new Dean will work with administrators, faculty, and staff members to improve the success of students within the College of Sciences and from across the University; continue the growth in quality and impact of research and scholarship, including increasing external funding; and lead the philanthropic efforts of the College.

The next Dean of UCF’s College of Sciences will report to the Provost and Executive Vice President and be a collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial leader who will drive the College to new levels of academic quality, fiscal proficiency, and operational effectiveness. Working closely with administrators, faculty, students, alumni, and community stakeholders, the Dean will elevate the College’s profile and impact while actively engaging with other Deans, the Provost, the President, and executive leaders to advance UCF as a pacesetter for higher education innovation, opportunity, research, scholarship, and student success.
