Position OverviewDean Student Assistants are the first point of contact for guests of the Dean's Office/Suite. Student Assistants are hospitable, customer-service-focused professionals. They are go-getters who enjoy new, unique challenges and are confident in their communication and collaboration skills. While their main priority is to support the Dean's Office staff and respond to guest inquiries, on occasion, they will support the B-School Events, Facilities, Communication, and HR/Finance teams on an as-needed basis.
Throughout their employment, student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.Job DescriptionResponsibilities include coverage of the reception desk, greeting visitors, answering and routing guest inquiries, working with confidential documents, data entry, mass mailings, and other clerical projects and duties as assigned.
(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. - 75% greeting guests, answering questions, and directing visitors.
- 20% project assistance to the dean’s office staff.
- 5% special event preparation and assistance with event logistics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft suite software.
- At least one year of previous office or customer service experience.
- Available to work evenings and weekends for a 4-6 special events (graduation, distinguished alumni dinner, King’s Hawaiian Sales Competition).
- School of Business student.
