Litigation Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of a diverse caseload, focusing on defense in personal injury, products liability, general liability, and general negligence matters. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and develop valuable litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of litigation cases from inception to resolution
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments
  • Analyze case files and prepare case summaries and reports
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting litigation practices

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • 2+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in defense and personal injury law (catastrophic, general liability, etc)
  • Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures related to litigation
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
